PURPOSE AND VALUE OF OUR COMPANY

Our goal is to be closest to your needs and concerns. The quality and performance of our knives demonstrate our commitment to offer the cutting precision you expect.

  • A CONSOLIDATED EXPERTISE

Through an external growth, the COMPANY gained expertise and a good reputation.

    – In 1984, the FAURE company, founded in 1956 by the FAURE brothers, was purchased. The heart of its business was industrial knives for the wood and plastic sector.
    – GRINCOURT , founded in 1898, was purchased in 1988. The company specializes in cutting paper, graphic arts, tissue and food packaging.
    – SAOTM joined the group in 1998, while being specialized in blades for cardboard.

Today, the companies FAURE, GRINCOURT and SAOTM are consolidated into a single entity. Our strategy is to bring together our brands to centralize our “savoir faire” and expertise in our key industry sectors: food packaging, pharmaceutical and cosmetics, paper and cardboard, labels, tissue, glasswool, plastic and rubber, wood and gypsum block.
Combining this expertise allows us to reduce our operating costs. So we can best meet your expectations in terms of quality, price and delivery.

  • TWO CENTURIES OF EXPERIENCE

To conclude this synergy, we are changing our name to again become the MONGIN Company. This patronym was given by our ancestor, Nicolas Mongin, in 1814 to the first company of industrial knives. Bringing all our expertise under a single brand MONGIN on the occasion of 200 years of our family business is a way to reaffirm our roots while looking to the future with you.
